The striker scored the Blues' fourth and final goal during the 4-2 victory over Stoke on New Year's Eve to ensure Antonio Conte's men extended their winning run to 13 matches.
It was also Costa's 14th Premier League goal so far this term and unsurprisingly, his prolific start to the campaign has been turning heads across the world.

According to The Sun, the 28-year-old is the latest big name linked with an eye-watering switch to the Chinese Super League.
The reported offer from Tianjin Quanjian might not quite be at the same level as the figures Cristiano Ronaldo was apparently offered, however, it is still pretty astronomical.
The Sun claim Tianjin are planning a bid worth £80 million and willing to offer Costa a £480,000-per-week contract.
It follows a £50m proposal from the same club that was reportedly rejected by Chelsea last month but if you haven't already learned by now, Chinese clubs are increasingly persistent at pursuing targets.
Tianjin are managed by legendary former Italian captain Fabio Cannavaro and have only recently been promoted to the top division in China.
Their multi-billionaire owner, Shu Yuhui, is developing somewhat of a reputation for his bold transfer ambitions after previously stating an interest in signing Lionel Messi and Ronaldinho - neither of which, of course, have joined.
"Costa’s agent Jorge Mendes was working on the deal for Tianjin but Chelsea have said ‘no’ to the bid," an unnamed source told The Sun.
"It was around £50m and the wages of £480,000-a-week would have put him among the highest earners in the world.
“At the moment, the club are seriously thinking about going back in with a much-improved offer. They’re thinking about £75m would be more than right for a player of his age.
"Costa is Brazil-born and the Chinese believe Brazilian footballers are best suited to their league. The division is full of them. Hulk, Oscar, Paulinho, Alex Teixeira and Ramires are to name only a few out here.”
