The Cleveland Cavaliers cruised to a
routine victory over the struggling Brooklyn Nets on Friday night and
were able to rest all of their starters for the entire fourth quarter.
The defending champions ended up winning the game 119-99 but the score could have been much bigger for the Cavs, who found themselves up by 41 heading into the final 12 minutes.
But Brooklyn's final quarter, where they scored 42 points to Cleveland's 21, left the Ohio franchise with the strange record of being the first team in the 24-second shot clock history to win a game by 20 points having lost a quarter by at least 20 points.
The strange stat was spotted by Elias and highlights just how comfortable LeBron James and co had found life against the Nets, who have mustered just seven wins so far in 2016/17.

There will be much harder challenges along the way for the Wine and Gold, starting with tonight's Christmas Day bonanza against the Golden State Warriors.
Depth has been a concern of the Cavs throughout the campaign, and that will really be put to the test by the 2015 champions. Giving up 42 points in a quarter is not good regardless of the circumstances, hopefully it doesn't start a trend.
