Jane has been his crush for a while now. He hoped that one day, she'd see his love and reciprocate. That thought occupied him as he dressed up and left for a friend's place. On getting there, he met another friend there-a young lady. They exchanged pleasantries and cracked jokes that made him ache with laughter. Then his friend said
"Ol' boy how preps for Val".
He confessed on his low cash and then the lady in the triad joked about something but then she said
"We may not have money, but we have love".
Then it struck him. We many not have money but we have love. True love. Love that puts itself less than others. Love that gives it's blood to preserve another man's blood. Love . hat is not self centered. Love that is not looking out for his own gain. Love that is patient with you and sees the best in you despite your flaws. Love that believes in you. Love that endure. Love that never fails.
It is that love that will help you navigate through life. Fake love never bring true friends, associates. And in your moment of deep despite, it is those to whom you've shown love that would stand beside you, risking life and limb, staying by your side, reciprocating that love.
Today is all about showing true love-to that hungry guy in your lodge, to that sick girl in the hospital, to that old man picking food from garbage, to the destitute, orphans, touts. Extend the love to your parents and benefactors, siblings and relatives.
Make someone aware that you care.
